The Relay Room is a creative technology studio from 3AM and Amanda+James, designed for artists working at the intersection of performance, media, and emerging technology.
The Relay Room will join 3AM’s existing Studio and Theatre, as a third place to create, with a focus on technology in performance. In this shared space, artists will have access to technical equipment, projectors, cameras, a greenscreen / photography backdrop, sound booth, and creative community.
The Relay Room is a communal space for experimentation at the intersection of performance and technology. Designed for artists working with sound, video, live projection, and interactive media, it offers direct access to 3AM's Theater and Studio so ideas can move seamlessly from concept to rehearsal and performance.
We offer desk rentals, equipment sharing, and residency opportunities for artists developing new work with technology. If you're interested in the future development of The Relay Room or would like to submit a proposal, request, or collaboration idea, we'd love to hear from you.
